31 SIXES what else a cricket crazy needs to watch in an ODI.The 3rd ODI between NZ and India saw a new world record of hitting 31 sixes,18 by Indians and 13 by Kiwis.Moreover, the match aggregate of 726 runs by both teams combined is the second biggest in the history of ODI cricket, behind the 872 runs made in the Jo'burg ODI between Australia and New Zealand on 12-3-2006. It is also the most runs scored in an ODI match between the two teams obliterating the previous best of 655-19 at Rajkot on 5-11-1999. India made 392/4and NZ 334/10.India could set this giant score with superb batting by Sachin Tendulkar,Yuvraj,Dhoni and Raina.Sachin made 163 of just 133 balls while Yuvraj hit 87 of just 60 balls.Sachin hit 163 and got retired hurt due to stomach muscle pain.sachin is doubtful to play hte 4th ODI.

The kiwis hold their nerves and made a pleasan start in heir innnning. This made the Indians giant score 392 to be chaseable.The kiwis got out making 334 in 45.1 overs.Ryder,MCCullum and Mills were the top scorers for the NZlanders scoring 105,71 and 54 respectively.
